Storage Size/Dimensions: Minimum 150 square feet, 20ft x 7.5ft area, Height clearance: 12 feet. A dedicated aisle space of 5ft wide is required alongside the storage area.
Storage Conditions: Dry storage is essential. The area must be well-ventilated to prevent moisture buildup. Ensure the floor is level and clean to avoid damage to the underlayment. Avoid direct sunlight exposure.
Special Handling: Flooring underlayment is generally considered a fragile item. Each roll should be individually wrapped with protective padding (bubble wrap or cardboard) prior to storage. Pallets are recommended for moving and stacking.
Stacking/Shelving: Items can be stacked up to 4 pallets high, utilizing standard 48” high shelving. Pallet dimensions should be 48” x 40” for efficient use of space. Avoid exceeding a 1,000 lb weight capacity per pallet.
Access Requirements: A loading dock with a 12ft wide access door is needed. A minimum clearance of 10ft is required at the loading dock for truck maneuvering. Forklift access is required for moving and stacking underlayment. Ensure the door width is a minimum of 10ft for easy access.
