Protect Your LVP: Secure Storage, Peace of Mind.
Laminate vinyl plank (LVP) thrives within the robust and organized environment of a warehouse storage facility, offering a secure and efficient solution for your inventory needs. Warehouse storage provides a stable, dry location that’s exceptionally well-suited for this durable flooring product. The spaciousness allows for optimized stacking and efficient flow, minimizing handling and reducing the risk of damage during movement. LVP’s inherent resistance to moisture and impact means it’s remarkably resilient to the typical warehouse conditions – particularly when stored on pallets or sturdy shelving. Proper stacking practices, utilizing interlocked pallet systems, are key to maximizing storage density and protecting the product’s surface. Warehouses also provide enhanced security and protection from external elements like rain and direct sunlight, crucial for maintaining the product’s appearance and integrity. Furthermore, a warehouse’s structured layout ensures easy access and rapid retrieval, streamlining your operations and contributing to a consistently well-presented inventory. This robust storage solution is a smart investment, safeguarding your LVP investment and facilitating seamless distribution.
Storage Size/Dimensions: Minimum 150 square feet, 12ft x 12ft area, Height clearance: 9 feet. A dedicated aisle space of at least 8 feet wide is required for forklift access.
Storage Conditions: Dry storage is essential. The area should be well-ventilated to prevent dust accumulation. Avoid direct sunlight exposure. Storage should be on a level, stable floor.
Special Handling: Laminate vinyl plank is a fragile material. Each plank should be protected with adequate padding, such as cardboard or foam, during storage and handling. Pallets should be used to minimize direct contact with the floor. Consider using stretch wrap to secure individual stacks.
Stacking/Shelving: Pallet storage is recommended. Max stack height: 48 inches (4 feet). Shelving units with adjustable shelves are an option, allowing for vertical space utilization. Ensure shelving is strong enough to support the weight of stacked planks.
Access Requirements: A loading dock with a 12ft wide x 10ft deep bay is required for forklift access. Door width: 10 feet. A minimum clearance of 10 feet on either side of the loading dock bay is necessary for equipment maneuverability. The floor should be capable of supporting heavy loads.
