Storage Size/Dimensions: Minimum 200 square feet, 15ft x 13ft area, Height clearance: 10 feet. A dedicated aisle of at least 8 feet wide is required for access.
Storage Conditions: Dry storage is essential. The storage area must be well-ventilated to prevent moisture buildup and potential mold growth. The floor should be level and capable of supporting the weight of stacked items.
Special Handling: Maple pieces are considered fragile. All items should be wrapped in protective padding, such as bubble wrap or cardboard, to prevent damage during handling and stacking. Palletized loads should be secured with straps.
Stacking/Shelving: Items can be stored using pallet storage, with a minimum of 48” between pallets. Shelving units with adjustable shelves are recommended to maximize vertical space. Pallet height should not exceed 5 feet.
Access Requirements: A loading dock with a 12ft x 10ft access area is needed. The loading dock door should be at least 10 feet wide with a clear opening of 9 feet. A minimum of 10 feet of clearance space is required at the loading dock for maneuvering equipment.
