Storage Size/Dimensions: Minimum 200 square feet, 20ft x 10ft area, Height clearance: 10 feet. A dedicated area of at least 10ft x 12ft is recommended for individual CRT storage.
Storage Conditions: Dry storage is essential. The area must be well-ventilated to prevent dust accumulation. Avoid direct sunlight exposure. The floor should be level and clean.
Special Handling: Cathode-ray tubes are fragile and susceptible to damage from impact. Each CRT must be individually padded with sufficient protective foam or cardboard. Wrap each unit in bubble wrap for added protection. Handle with extreme care to avoid dropping or jarring.
Stacking/Shelving: CRT’s can be stacked no more than 3 units high. Pallet storage is suitable, utilizing pallets that are 48” x 40”. Shelving units with adjustable shelves, spaced 12” apart, are recommended for easier access.
Access Requirements: A standard 12ft wide loading dock door is required. A minimum clearance of 8ft is needed alongside the loading dock for forklift maneuvering. Door width should be at least 10ft for easy access. Consider a secondary access door of 6ft x 8ft for personnel movement.
