Keep Your Knitted Fabric Safe & Sound – Premium Warehouse Storage
Storing knitted fabric within a robust warehouse environment offers significant advantages for maintaining its quality and value. Proper warehouse storage provides a stable, protected space ideal for this delicate material, safeguarding it from dust, dirt, and potential damage during handling. Knitted fabric should be stored flat, utilizing sturdy racks or shelving to prevent stretching or distortion. Grouping rolls or panels together allows for efficient space utilization and minimizes the need for frequent retrieval, reducing handling and potential snagging. Consider using protective covers – breathable material is key – to shield the fabric from abrasion. Regular inventory checks are crucial to identify and address any issues immediately, preventing minor problems from escalating. Warehouses provide secure access, protecting your inventory from theft and unauthorized access. The consistent, stable environment within a well-managed warehouse ensures the longevity and aesthetic integrity of your knitted fabric, making it a practical and reliable solution for long-term storage needs. Strategic palletization and careful stacking practices are paramount for optimal product protection.
Storage Size/Dimensions: Minimum 200 square feet, 20ft x 10ft area, Height clearance: 10 feet. A dedicated area of at least 15ft x 12ft is recommended for larger volumes.
Storage Conditions: Dry storage is essential. The area must be well-ventilated to prevent mildew and must be protected from direct sunlight. Storage should be on a level floor.
Special Handling: Knitted fabrics are considered delicate. All items should be wrapped in protective material like bubble wrap or kraft paper to prevent snagging and abrasion. Padding should be used when stacking. Avoid dropping or rough handling.
Stacking/Shelving: Pallet storage is ideal. Pallets should be 48” high. Shelving units with adjustable shelves, spaced 12” apart, can also be used, but stacking height should be limited to a maximum of four pallets to prevent instability.
Access Requirements: A standard 12ft wide loading dock is required for easy truck access. The warehouse door should be a minimum of 10ft wide for forklift maneuverability. A clearance of 10ft should be maintained around all storage areas to allow for forklift access and movement. A secondary access door 8ft wide is recommended.

Cubework storage spaces are exceptionally well-suited for storing knitted fabric due to their robust construction and protective design. The individual, interlocking cuboids offer excellent support, preventing the delicate fibers of your fabric from stretching, warping, or becoming distorted – a common issue with loose storage. The modular nature of cubework is a key advantage, allowing you to easily adapt to changing quantities of fabric. You can quickly expand or contract your storage as needed, optimizing space utilization. Each cuboid provides a contained area, minimizing dust and handling, which is crucial for maintaining fabric quality. Cubework’s strong frames ensure stability, preventing items from toppling and potentially damaging your knitted goods. Finally, the customizable configurations perfectly meet your specific fabric storage requirements, offering a practical and organized solution.
