Storage Size/Dimensions: Minimum 200 square feet, 20ft x 10ft area, Height clearance: 10 feet. A secondary storage area of 100 sq ft (10ft x 10ft) is recommended.
Storage Conditions: Dry storage is essential. The area must be well-ventilated with a continuous airflow to prevent the buildup of vapors. Surfaces should be durable, non-absorbent materials like concrete or epoxy.
Special Handling: All chemical substances must be stored in sturdy, UN-approved containers. Each container requires individual padding with bubble wrap or foam to prevent damage during handling. Fragile containers should be stored on a raised platform.
Stacking/Shelving: Pallet storage is preferred, utilizing standard 48" high pallets. Shelving units with adjustable shelves are acceptable, but maximum shelf height should be 6 feet. Avoid stacking items higher than 4 pallets.
Access Requirements: Loading dock: 12ft wide x 16ft long. Warehouse door: Minimum 12ft wide for forklift access. A clearance space of 3 feet around each storage area is required for maneuverability. Forklift access is necessary for efficient retrieval.
