Secure Door Slabs. Safe Storage. Easy Access.
Storing door slabs within a robust warehouse storage facility offers a secure and efficient solution for businesses managing these substantial materials. Warehousing provides unparalleled protection against damage during transit and long-term storage, minimizing the risk of scratches, dents, or warping – common concerns when exposed to fluctuating environmental conditions. Dedicated racking systems are ideal for maximizing vertical space and ensuring easy access to individual slabs, optimizing your inventory flow. Strategic placement, considering weight distribution and potential stacking loads, is crucial for structural integrity. Warehouse storage offers significant cost savings compared to smaller, less specialized storage options. Furthermore, secure access and comprehensive inventory management are hallmarks of a professional warehouse, providing you with real-time tracking and traceability. The warehouse’s robust construction and established security protocols contribute to peace of mind and a dependable location for safeguarding your valuable door slab inventory. Regular inspections and diligent record-keeping are essential components of a successful warehousing strategy.
Storage Size/Dimensions: Minimum 150 square feet or a 12ft x 12ft area. Height clearance: 12 feet. This provides adequate space for multiple door slabs.
Storage Conditions: Dry storage is essential. The area must be well-ventilated to prevent moisture buildup and potential damage. The floor should be level and stable. Avoid storing door slabs directly on the concrete floor; use pallets.
Special Handling: Door slabs are considered heavy items. They require careful handling to prevent damage. Utilize hand trucks or pallet jacks for movement. Pad the edges of each slab with protective foam or cardboard to minimize surface scratching during movement and storage.
Stacking/Shelving: Door slabs can be stored on pallets, stacked no more than 4 units high. Pallet dimensions should be 48" x 40". Alternatively, shelving units with a minimum shelf height of 6 feet are suitable. Ensure shelving is robust enough to support the weight.
Access Requirements: A loading dock with a minimum width of 12 feet is needed for truck access. A standard 10ft wide access door is sufficient. A clear aisle space of 8 feet is required alongside the storage area for forklift maneuverability. The door should be at least 10 feet wide for easy access.

Door slabs require robust and stable storage, and cubework storage spaces are perfectly engineered for this task. Their inherent strength and rigid construction provide the necessary support to handle the weight and dimensions of a door slab.
