Storage Size/Dimensions: Minimum 200 square feet, 15ft x 13ft area, Height clearance: 9 feet. Allow for a 4ft access aisle around each storage location.
Storage Conditions: Dry storage environment, well-ventilated space. Ensure the area is free from dust and debris. Avoid direct sunlight exposure. Maintain a consistent level of cleanliness.
Special Handling: Paintings are considered fragile items. Each painting should be individually wrapped in acid-free paper or bubble wrap for padding. Use foam board or cardboard corner protectors. Handle paintings with clean hands. Avoid dragging or dropping.
Stacking/Shelving: Paintings can be stored on sturdy, adjustable shelving units with a maximum weight capacity of 50 lbs per shelf. Stacking is permitted up to 3 shelves high. Pallet storage is possible with appropriate protection for the artwork.
Access Requirements: Loading dock needs a 12ft wide x 12ft deep area. A standard 8ft wide loading bay door is required. A minimum clearance of 8ft is needed at the loading dock for forklift access. Interior aisle width should be 6ft for easy movement.
