Storage Size/Dimensions: Minimum 200 square feet, 20ft x 10ft area, Height clearance: 12 feet. A dedicated storage aisle of at least 5 feet wide is required.
Storage Conditions: Dry storage is essential. The area should be well-ventilated to prevent dust accumulation. Storage should be on a level, stable floor. Avoid direct sunlight exposure.
Special Handling: Baseballs are relatively durable but should be stored in protective padding (e.g., bubble wrap, cardboard) to prevent minor scuffs and scratches. Palletize boxes for easier handling and to minimize direct contact with the floor.
Stacking/Shelving: Pallet storage is recommended, utilizing 48” high pallets. Shelving units with adjustable shelves are acceptable if the shelves are at least 48” deep to accommodate palletized boxes. Stacking boxes to a maximum of 3-4 pallets is advised.
Access Requirements: A standard 12ft x 10ft loading dock door with a minimum width of 10 feet is needed for truck access. A clear aisle space of 10 feet should be maintained around the storage area for forklift operation. Door clearance of 9 feet is required for safe maneuvering.
