Storage Size/Dimensions: Minimum 100 square feet per safe, with a suggested area of 10ft x 10ft for each unit. Height clearance: 8 feet is required for safe access.
Storage Conditions: Storage must be in a dry, well-ventilated area. Surfaces should be level and free of debris. The storage area should be protected from direct sunlight and rain.
Special Handling: Safes are considered fragile items. Each safe requires a minimum of 4 inches of padding around all sides and corners during storage. Secure all items with straps or shrink wrap to prevent movement.
Stacking/Shelving: Safes can be palletized and stored on standard 50” high pallets. Alternatively, individual safes can be stacked up to 4 feet high, provided each stack is adequately supported with bracing. Shelving is not recommended due to the weight and potential for damage.
Access Requirements: A loading dock with a 12ft wide access door is required. A minimum clearance of 10 feet must be maintained around each safe for forklift access and handling. The door should be at least 96 inches wide to accommodate larger safes.
