    Space Requirements

    • Storage Size/Dimensions: Minimum 200 square feet, or a 15ft x 13ft area. Height clearance: 9 feet.
    • Storage Conditions: Dry storage area with good ventilation. The space should be free of excessive dust and debris. Regular inspections are required to identify any potential issues.
    • Special Handling: All repair equipment, particularly sensitive instruments and electronic components, must be packaged with adequate padding – bubble wrap and foam inserts are recommended. Fragile items should be clearly marked. Pallets should be used for heavier equipment.
    • Stacking/Shelving: Utilize shelving units with adjustable heights to accommodate various equipment sizes. Pallet racking is suitable for larger tools and machinery. Ensure shelving is strong enough to support the weight of stacked items. Consider a dedicated area for small parts and accessories.
    • Access Requirements: A standard 12ft wide loading dock is required for truck access. The main warehouse door should be a minimum of 10ft wide for easy equipment movement. A clear aisle space of at least 8ft wide should be maintained around all storage areas to allow for forklift operation. The floor should be level and capable of supporting heavy loads.
