Storage Conditions: Dry storage is essential. The area must be well-ventilated to prevent dust accumulation and maintain a stable environment. Avoid direct sunlight exposure. The floor should be level and clean.
Special Handling: Buttons are generally durable but should be stored in protective packaging (cardboard boxes, bubble wrap) to prevent damage during handling. Items should be stacked no more than 4 boxes high to avoid crushing. Consider using corner protectors on boxes.
Stacking/Shelving: Shelving units with adjustable heights are recommended. Pallet storage (48” high) is acceptable if the shelving system supports it. Utilize interlocking shelving to maximize space.
Access Requirements: Loading dock: 10ft wide x 12ft long. Warehouse door: Minimum 8ft wide. A clearance of 3 feet is needed at the loading dock for truck access. Forklift access is required for moving palletized goods. Ensure adequate lighting within the storage area.
