    Space Requirements

    • Storage Size/Dimensions: Minimum 150 square feet or a 10ft x 15ft area. Height clearance: 8 feet is required.
    • Storage Conditions: The storage area should be dry and well-ventilated. Avoid direct sunlight exposure. The floor should be level and capable of supporting the weight of stored items. Dust and debris should be minimized.
    • Special Handling: Burglar alarms are considered fragile items. Each unit must be individually packaged with sufficient padding, such as bubble wrap or foam inserts, to prevent damage during handling and storage. Units should be handled with care to avoid dropping or jarring.
    • Stacking/Shelving: Items can be stored on standard shelving units with adjustable shelves. Shelves should be spaced no more than 24 inches apart. Pallet storage is permissible, but pallets should be stacked no more than three high. Ensure shelving is sturdy and appropriately sized for the alarm units.
    • Access Requirements: A loading dock with a minimum width of 12 feet is needed for access. The door should be at least 8 feet wide with a clear opening of 9 feet. A minimum clearance of 3 feet around the loading dock should be maintained for forklift operation. Consider a door width of 9 feet for efficient movement.
