Secure Apparel Storage: Protect Your Inventory, Maximize Profits.
Assembled Apparel benefits significantly from robust warehouse storage solutions designed for efficient organization and protection. Utilizing a dedicated warehouse space allows for optimized inventory management, dramatically reducing handling and potential damage during shipping. Strategic pallet racking systems provide secure and stable storage, maximizing space utilization and enabling rapid retrieval of items based on SKU and order volume. Careful consideration of product orientation – typically laying garments flat – minimizes stretching and distortion, preserving the aesthetic quality of the apparel. Dedicated warehouse space offers a secure environment, reducing the risk of theft and damage compared to open storage. Effective warehouse design incorporates clear labeling, designated flow zones for receiving, picking, and shipping, and appropriate aisle widths to ensure smooth operational efficiency. This structured approach significantly decreases order fulfillment times and contributes to a streamlined supply chain. Furthermore, a warehouse provides a centralized location for all Assembled Apparel, simplifying logistics and bolstering overall operational control. The organized environment ultimately translates to improved order accuracy and faster delivery times for your customers.
Storage Size/Dimensions: Minimum 300 square feet, ideally 15ft x 20ft, with a height clearance of 12 feet. Consider a dedicated area of at least 200 sq ft for initial inventory and expansion potential.
Storage Conditions: Dry storage is essential. The area should be well-ventilated to minimize dust and prevent mildew growth. Ensure adequate airflow to reduce the risk of fabric damage from stagnant air. Maintain a consistent floor surface – concrete or epoxy is recommended.
Special Handling: All apparel items should be protected with appropriate padding – bubble wrap, packing peanuts, or garment bags – to prevent wrinkles and abrasion during handling. Fragile items like delicate blouses or knitwear require extra padding. Consider using corner protectors for shelving.
Stacking/Shelving: Utilize adjustable shelving units to maximize vertical space. Shelves should be spaced no more than 36 inches apart to accommodate standard garment sizes. Pallet storage (48” x 40” pallets) is acceptable for bulk storage, but items should be covered with protective materials.
Access Requirements: A loading dock with a 12ft x 10ft bay door is required. The door width must be at least 8 feet for efficient truck access. A minimum clearance of 10 feet within the loading dock is necessary for maneuvering forklifts. A secondary access door of 6ft x 8ft should also be available.

Assembled apparel, with its varied shapes and sizes, thrives within the adaptable design of cubework storage. Its inherent modularity is perfectly suited to accommodating garments of all dimensions, from delicate blouses to robust jackets. The ability to easily reconfigure the storage system allows you to optimize space utilization and adapt to changing inventory needs. Cubework’s individual units provide excellent visibility, making it simple to locate specific items quickly. Furthermore, the sturdy construction ensures stability and protection for your valuable apparel. The flexibility of cubework means you can easily add or remove units as your business grows, creating a truly bespoke storage solution that’s both practical and efficient.
