Secure Storage for Your Wooden Blinds - Peace of Mind.
Wooden blinds represent a durable and valuable product, and strategic warehouse storage provides the optimal environment for their long-term preservation and protection. Utilizing a warehouse facility offers several key advantages, beginning with secure, organized inventory management – allowing for efficient tracking and retrieval, minimizing handling damage. Blinds, being relatively heavy and bulky, benefit significantly from the stable, level floors characteristic of a warehouse, reducing the risk of warping or shifting during storage. Proper racking systems are crucial, maximizing vertical space and ensuring easy access to all sections. It’s recommended to store blinds in flat, stacked formations, ideally on pallets to prevent direct contact with the floor. Warehouses offer protection from dust and debris, crucial for maintaining the natural beauty of the wood, and their expansive spaces accommodate large volumes of inventory. Furthermore, warehouse storage provides enhanced security against theft and damage, a vital consideration for this investment product. Strategic layout and careful handling procedures within the warehouse contribute directly to maintaining the quality and value of your wooden blinds.
Storage Size/Dimensions: Minimum 150 square feet, 12ft x 12ft area. Height clearance: 10 feet. Allow for 3ft of aisle space between storage locations.
Storage Conditions: Dry storage is required. The area should be well-ventilated to minimize dust accumulation. Avoid direct sunlight exposure. The floor should be level and clean.
Special Handling: Wooden blinds are considered fragile items. Each unit should be individually wrapped in protective padding (bubble wrap or cardboard) to prevent scratches and damage during handling. Pallets should be constructed of sturdy material.
Stacking/Shelving: Items can be stored on pallets (48” x 40” recommended) or on sturdy shelving units with adjustable shelves. Max stacking height: 5 shelves, with each shelf supporting a maximum weight of 100 lbs. Shelves should be at least 36” deep.
Access Requirements: Loading dock dimensions: 14ft wide x 16ft long. Dock door width: 10ft. A minimum clearance of 8ft is needed at the loading dock for forklift operation. Door width: 9ft. Ensure adequate aisle space for forklift access.
