Special Handling: Sheets are considered fragile. Each sheet should be wrapped in protective padding – bubble wrap or cardboard – to prevent damage during handling and stacking. Reinforced cardboard corners are recommended.
Stacking/Shelving: Sheets can be stacked directly on the floor, maximizing space, but limiting accessibility. Alternatively, adjustable shelving units with a maximum shelf height of 6 feet would allow for easier retrieval. Pallet storage (48" x 40") is acceptable if properly secured.
Access Requirements: A standard 12ft wide loading dock is required for truck access. The warehouse door should be a minimum of 10ft wide for efficient loading and unloading. A clear access space of 8ft x 8ft should be maintained around each loading dock bay. Ensure adequate lighting within the storage area.
