Storage Size/Dimensions: Minimum 300 square feet, with an area of 20ft x 15ft recommended. Height clearance: 12 feet to allow for stacking.
Storage Conditions: Dry storage is required. The warehouse must be well-ventilated to prevent dust accumulation and maintain air quality. Avoid direct sunlight exposure.
Special Handling: Body components are considered fragile. All items must be individually wrapped with protective padding – bubble wrap and cardboard are mandatory. Items requiring delicate handling should be clearly marked.
Stacking/Shelving: Pallet storage is the primary method. Utilize 48” high pallets to maximize space. Adjustable shelving units, capable of supporting at least 500 lbs per shelf, are recommended for smaller components. Consider using interlocking shelving systems to create organized rows.
Access Requirements: A double-loading dock with a minimum width of 12 feet is necessary. Dock height should be adjustable between 3’6” and 5’. Door width: 10 feet. A clearance space of 8 feet adjacent to the loading dock is required for forklift maneuverability. A secondary access door, 8ft wide, should also be available.
