Safeguard Your Heritage: Secure Ethnographic Storage.
Storing ethnographic items within a robust warehouse storage facility offers a secure and meticulously managed environment designed to preserve the integrity of these valuable cultural artifacts. Our warehouse spaces are specifically designed to protect delicate materials through a combination of organized racking systems, durable shelving, and strategically placed, sturdy pallets. We prioritize careful handling procedures, employing trained personnel dedicated to minimizing physical contact and reducing the risk of damage during movement. Proper inventory management, including detailed tracking and secure labeling, ensures each item’s provenance and location are clearly documented. The high ceilings and open layout of our facilities allow for efficient access and retrieval, streamlining logistics and reducing handling time – a crucial factor in safeguarding fragile objects. Warehouse storage provides a secure, stable, and easily monitored environment ideal for long-term preservation, offering peace of mind and safeguarding your collection’s heritage. Furthermore, our dedicated warehouse team provides comprehensive security measures, including 24/7 surveillance and access control, guaranteeing the safety of your irreplaceable ethnographic assets.
Storage Size/Dimensions: Minimum 600 sq ft warehouse space. Dedicated areas should include: 200 sq ft for large objects (e.g., textiles, pottery), 300 sq ft for smaller artifacts (e.g., tools, figurines), and 100 sq ft for boxed materials. Height clearance: 12 feet.
Storage Conditions: Dry storage environment. The warehouse must be well-ventilated to prevent dust accumulation. Floor surfaces should be level and easily cleanable. Regular visual inspections are required to identify any potential damage from pests or debris.
Special Handling: All ethnographic items are considered fragile. Each item requires individual padding with archival-quality foam or bubble wrap. Larger items should be placed on protective mats. Items with delicate surfaces need extra care during handling and movement.
Stacking/Shelving: Utilize adjustable shelving units with a maximum shelf height of 8 feet. Pallet storage is permitted for large items, but pallets must be secured to prevent movement. Stacking should be limited to two boxes per shelf, maximum.
Access Requirements: Loading dock: 12ft wide x 16ft long. Warehouse door: 10ft wide x 8ft high with a minimum clearance of 3ft 6in. Forklift access is required for moving items; aisle width should be at least 10ft.
